A Mass of Thanksgiving and Our Parish Corpus Christi Day
It was a wonderful Solemnity of Corpus Christi and a joyful celebration of Fr. John Washington’s Mass of Thanksgiving. The church was full of family and friends – new and old to give glory to God for Father John’s vocation and assure him of our prayers.

Fr. John recounted in his homily (link here) his love for the St. Luke’s parishioners who helped foster his vocation through the years beginning with his time in college at UNG.

Due to the weather, our Eucharistic procession was held in the church.  The presentation of gifts from the parish, Women’s Guild, and Men of St. Luke were presented then Fr. John gave a recap of his vocation story and individual blessings to anyone who wanted one.   We concluded the celebration with cake and ice cream in the parish hall.

A big thank you to all who helped make this celebration a success. May God reward you abundantly!

We hope to post photos of the event and keep them for our archives.   Please e-mail us at the parish office.
