Hurricane Helene Relief
Our parish has had a connection with Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brevard, NC since Matt Hair was here. Sacred Heart was Matt’s home parish. Our teens have spent the last several years at Summer Camp the same week with the Sacred Heart teens.
This area was effected by Hurricane Helene. The Sacred Heart rectory was damaged. Some parishioners have lost a little, and some have lost everything. They are in need of our help. There are several ways to help that area:
- The Diocese of Charlotte is asking for donations through Catholic Charities of Charlotte. Link Here
- The Dahlonega Methodist Church is sending up items on Oct. 10. Drop off items at the Methodist Church.
- Team Give Back, LLC (not affiliated with St. Luke’s) has a truck going to Asheville for those who prefer to donate tangible goods. This location is at the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s office from Oct. 1-4.
